KJ'S STORY

A younger KJ growing up in Northern California, looking toward a future he wasn't sure would ever feel within reach.

"Am I good enough? Will I become something? Will people ever believe in me?"

The questions were real. The uncertainty was real. But so was the decision to keep going — to keep showing up, even without the answers.

There was a painful, defining moment in KJ's early life: not graduating from high school alongside his peers.

The weight of watching others walk across that graduation stage while he sat with the reality of unfinished business was a heavy, humbling disappointment.

“I made my bed, and I had to lay in it.”

It was personal, painful, and deeply reflective. But instead of letting that moment define his limits, it became the foundation of accountability and drive that would fuel every comeback that followed.

A defining turning point in KJ's life was the decision to go back, finish the work, and earn his certificate.

Surrounded by family and loved ones, holding that Certificate of Achievement was more than a diploma — it was proof that a setback is never the final word. It was the best decision he ever made.

It was a moment of true joy, relief, and reclaimed self-belief. That step taught KJ early that you can always rewrite your trajectory — a lesson that helped shape every victory, every business, and every person he coaches today.

As a young man, KJ joined the United States Navy — taking the military oath, reporting for dental training in San Diego, and serving aboard the USS MISSOURI (BB-63).

Shipboard dental work, long days, and the discipline of military service helped build the man KJ would become. The Navy taught him responsibility, teamwork, communication, service, and how to lead under pressure — how to become someone others could depend on.

Entering the Navy meant stepping directly onto the grinder — pushed to physical and mental limits through boot camp where every drill, run, and order demanded complete focus and resilience.

It was here that discipline, brotherhood, and true leadership took root. Surviving the grueling demands of military training proved that mental toughness isn't given — it's forged in the dirt, sweat, and determination to never quit.

“Sometimes you have to do the things that others won’t do in order to have the things that others can’t have.”

KJ's leadership abilities were recognized during his service aboard the USS Missouri — earning the Command Advancement Leadership Award.

Leadership was being developed in KJ long before the stages, business training, sales organizations, smartphones, and artificial intelligence. The foundation was being built aboard a battleship.

After the Navy, KJ moved into automotive sales — trading the battleship for the showroom floor. The progression was steady:

New-Car Salesman → Prospecting → Follow-Up → Communication → Trust → Sales Success

He earned Three-Time Salesman of the Year — then moved into Management → Fleet → Training → Entrepreneurship → Automotive Business Ownership.

On the showroom floor, business and destiny crossed paths. KJ sold her a car — and a year and a half later, he married her.

“Sold her a car, married her a year and a half later; ended up making the payments on the car I sold her.”

“Got a good deal; successfully married 31 years.”

A lasting partnership built on loyalty, laughter, and faith. Through every peak, valley, business venture, and battle for life, she has been his rock and greatest blessing.

KJ moved from salesperson to entrepreneur and business owner — and was recognized with the Young Black Entrepreneur Award at the Staples Center, Los Angeles, CA.

The recognition represented the distance between the young person who once questioned whether he was good enough — and the entrepreneur whose work was now receiving public recognition.

Long before AI was mainstream, KJ was already training people on mobile devices — running smartphone demonstrations, filling training rooms, and teaching businesspeople how to use the phone in their hand.

KJ saw the smartphone as more than a phone. He saw a tool for communicating with customers, prospects, employees, partners, and opportunities almost instantly.

Today, KJ teaches modern audiences how to combine the smartphone they already carry with the power of artificial intelligence.
